For Builders
We are a Company Built by a Builder, for Builders.
25 Years in the Trenches. Now Solving Your Biggest Closing-Week Headache.
As a builder, you know the feeling: The house is 99% done, the cleaners just left, and the afternoon sun hits the sliders—revealing deep scratches from the masonry crew or a careless scraper. The closing is in 48 hours. You can’t get a new unit for weeks, and your profit is sitting in that glass.
I’ve been where you are. With 25 years of experience across Industrial, Commercial, and Residential construction, I transitioned into specialized glass restoration because I saw a desperate need for a sub who actually understands the schedule.
The Construction Perspective
I don’t just "fix glass." I integrate into your workflow to ensure you hit your dates:
We Speak "Site": We understand safety protocols, PPE requirements, and the importance of not being the sub that slows down the finish trades.
CO Deadline Experts: When a scratch is discovered during a final walkthrough, replacement isn't an option. We mobilize quickly to ensure your closing stays on track.
Forensic Budget Savings: Restoration typically costs less than 25% of replacement. We help you keep your margins intact by avoiding the high cost of new glass and the specialized labor to install it.
Clean Room Capability: We build our own dust partitions and manage our workspace, leaving the site as clean (or cleaner) than we found it.
How it Began
The Siesta Key Crisis
During that build, a subcontractor accidentally scratched nearly 50% of the glass throughout the entire home. At the time, Impact-Rated Glass was brand new to the Florida market. The lead times for replacement were astronomical, the costs were staggering, and the homeowner—understandably—would not accept the glass in that condition.
We were facing a catastrophic delay and a massive financial hit. Replacement wasn't just expensive; it was impossible if we wanted to hit our deadlines.
From Crisis to R&D Innovation
I refused to accept that "rip and replace" was the only option. I began collaborating with a specialized glazing professional and engineer from New York who was developing a forensic solution for glass resurfacing.
While the initial process existed, it wasn't yet viable for the fast-paced demands of a Florida job site. We stepped in as a field-testing partner. Through rigorous R&D on that Siesta Key project, and subsequent others, we developed the critical engineering improvements that accelerated the polishing cycle and perfected the optical finish. We didn't just use the process; we helped refine it into the high-speed, high-precision system it is today.
The Birth of Glass Restoration Inc.
After that success, I reached out to my network of fellow contractors. I heard the same horror stories over and over: builders losing tens of thousands of dollars and months of time to "unfixable" glass damage.
I realized the industry didn't need another glass supplier—it needed a specialized partner who understands the Critical Path. I founded Glass Restoration Inc. to provide the "Get Out of Jail Free" card I wish I’d had for twenty years.
National Builder Partnerships
We are currently seeking preferred vendor status with national and regional builders across SW Florida. Whether you are mid-rise commercial in Sarasota or a 500-home development in Lakewood Ranch, we are equipped to handle high-volume scratch removal.
